New additions....
Today was Bella's fifth birthday. She's so big, I can't believe it! Anyway, for a present, Aaron and I decided to give her what she's been asking for, for a long time now.
Kitties!
Kate's kitten Artemis is so adorable, that I finally told Aaron that I was sick of him saying "no pets," and I was just going to get Bella a kitten for her birthday. And he burst out with, "Then what am I supposed to get you for your birthday?! You totally ruined the surprise!"
So we got two.
They're brothers, about 10 weeks old, from the local shelter. Mine is Peregrin Took, better known as Pippin, jumping in front of the camera up there. Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry) belongs to Bella, and is about to jump on Pippin's bum. They're so cute, they tumble all over each other, and they chatter. Merry talks more, but if Pippin isn't playing, he chirrups at him until he does, and vice versa. Pippin is still more skittish around people; Merry is already very tolerant of Bella carrying him around and sticking him places. I tried to take pictures, but they were in a playful mood and they're too damn fast! Most of the shots came out blurry, or of the floor, because the cats had raced off. You'll just have to visit. Or wait until daylight, when I can take pictures without the slow flash.

This one's blurry because they're actually wrestling with Puppy Surprise there, and they were moving too fast. But I thought it was funny. :-) I'm sure I'll have more (and better) pictures in a day or two. I also have a bunch of pictures from our vacation to Treasure Island, but no one's going to want to see those now, when there are kitties!
