Shukran, habibti!

Lebanese food = Israeli food = Falasteeni food, with minor differences here and there. It's more appropriate to refer to it as Mediterranean food, I guess, but then even Iranians have hummus.
You keep kosher? Hmm.. well, I'm sure the meat in Lebanese restaurants would've been killed in the Islamic fashion which is identical to the shechitah, so if it doesn't matter to you then any Lebanese restaurant should be good for you! :D

im strictly kosher when it comes to meat and then not much else. i cant eat halal, even though its pretty much the same thing, just knowing it hasnt been kosherified freaks me out. my life, it's like, hard.

I left all that halal shite behind when I switched to vegetarianism. Your life won't be that hard if you switch too :P

Anyways, halal slaughter is identical (and exactly identical) to kosher slaughter, except for a prayer here and there.

Get a cheap hand blender when you get over here - great for that kind of stuff, or soup, or whatever. You can get a good one for £15-£20 =)

Yeah, I'll get one there.. that just seems like a better idea than buying one here and stuffing it into my 30kg+ bag.
