1) Changed the oil and battery in the Baja.
2) Bought weatherproofing/insulation at the Merrifield Home Depot. Where there were lots of hot daddies.
3) Reuploaded our wedding video to Youtube.

The never-ending raking of leaves.
Put down 4 tiles Friday or so. Another 15 today.
Replaced a toilet flapper; leaks from the bowl no more.
Think I'm allergic to the Axe body wash residue left on Chris' loofah.

Aw hell, burn 'em and they smell better. ;) The holidays -- a time to rejoice over excess consumerism. This seems to be a good year however. Chris and I attended our first open pool dives at Georgetown Prep Saturday. Pics will be posted once we figure out the best place to post them. ( A productive weekend )

The basement is now fairly dry and the dehumidifier is extracting what little moisture there is in the air. Prior to class tonight we lysol-bombed the basement to hopefully retard mold growth. We joke that Nation used foam parties to clean out the place. Likewise, it can now be stated that spring storms wash out our basement. The Atlantic Ocean is slowly being deposited onto the east coast, about 40 gallons of which found its way into our basement ( Read more... )

Vacuumed and (5) bagged all leaves in front yard;
Installed Ikea "Asker" hook system in workout room;
Installed magnifying mirror into bathroom (hopefully it will help with contacts).

I treated myself to side steps for the Jeep. Entry to the rear seats is a little easier since you're no longer climbing in from the ground. They were much easier to install than the trailer hitch that I bought with them. The trailer hitch installation bolts needed to be torqued to 75 ft/lbs which is not very tight except the muffler gets in the way ( Read more... )

Saturday
Spent most of Saturday in the attic installing a ceiling fan support kit and finalizing the wiring to the gable fan. The wiring we spliced the gable fan into are reversed so there was an easily fixed short. During a break in the install process, we ventured to the Dive Shop in Fairfax for Sunday's dive.
