July 2: Had an impromptu dinner with a friend we haven't seen in too long Thursday night.

July 3: Drove up to Bainbridge for a drysuit demo only to find out the dates were switched last minute. So drove 1.5 hrs further to Dutch Springs. Had two fantastic dives in a Whites Fusion drysuit then drove home. There will be a Whites Fusion in my future ( Read more... )

Chris and I attended the Diving Unlimited International, Inc (DUI) DOG Rally and Demo Tour at Dutch Springs, PA. For $10 or $15, you can try out any of DUI's drysuits. The demo staff is comprised of about 4 DUI employees and volunteers from participating local dive groups.

Aw hell, burn 'em and they smell better. ;) The holidays -- a time to rejoice over excess consumerism. This seems to be a good year however. SCUBA pics from Labor Day weekend

I've been mostly available earlier this year due to my diving obligations/certifications. Starting Sept 23, I will have even less time since Chris and I are beginning our Divemaster programs. I'll see you all about this time next year.

After a very long tiring weekend in York, PA, I am now PADI Rescue Diver certified. I've decided to continue on to become a Divemaster.

My AOD knowledge reviews have been turned in. Pending those results, I'll be an AOD.

I spent the rest of the evening reading for tomorrow's Rescue Diver class. The rest of this month will be spent either reading about diving or diving. I'm getting sooo exhausted.

Sunday
Deep DiveWe were the second group to do our descent to a deep part of the quarry. While awaiting our dive, I had a bad feeling about the dive. Aborting a checkout dive didn't seem like an option so I brushed it up to not wanting to be in 38 degree water ( Read more... )

Tomorrow is the first day of my Advanced Open Water Diver (AOD) certification. I have not completed my readings nor have I finished my knowledge reviews (quizzes). Oh so much to do, so much hopscotching to jump.
