Well Christmas is all over and dusted for yet another year, and the New Year is upon us. This Christmas was very pleasant, spending it with friends and Damien, rather than my family. The sun was shining, too much alcohol was consumed and all in all it was a lovely day!

Well, Uni is well and truely back into swing for the new semester. It is the end of Week 3, and I am shattered already! My work load is absolutely massive, with 3 papers, one of them being a language paper (Latin) and takes up a ridiculous amount of my time, as well as tutoring/teaching Roman History, and juggling two other jobs. I always enjoy my time at home in Hastings, although I have to admit, after living in a city for 4 and a half years, I don't think i could ever permanently live in Hastings again - there really is not an awful lot to do there, and it always seems so empty. Few people can lay claim to graduating inside a tent, but over 600 students were awarded their degrees under canvas at Canterbury University on Wednesday, 20 April. The ceremony, which usually takes place in the Christchurch Town Hall, nearly didn't take place at all after being called off due to the February earthquake. However it was later ( Read more... )
