someone knows these lyrics.....canadian band..."systematic, it sounds so tragic, put on your faces, perform your magic....".....had a horn section, heavy funk stuff......did a cover of spiderman (the good song in the old cartoon, instrumental)....

can anyone help?

I (cautiously) second this. I don't remember the lyrics from the first part, but they totally did a Spiderman cover (although not instrumental).
