Where I'll have to preside over elections for two positions, for which we have no viable candidates at last check. Whoohoo! Oh, and we just got word of a committee chair who has resigned, and will likely have to also elect a new district leader or two. Hooray.

Hopefully I'll get home before 11 PM tonight.

I managed to get ahold of the elections office and get the confirmation that the applicants for appointment to Precinct Committee Person are all democrats (except one guy who isn't actually registered to vote). Was at a meeting that lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes tonight. Got home at 10 and I still have to pack for the weekend convention. I get to see Governor Dr. Dean speak tomorrow night. Can't wait! I'm taking my laptop, but have no way of knowing if I'll hook up with any wifi over the weekend, so will likely be absent from LJ until sometime Monday ( Read more... )

Hopefully more of the students will show up this week. Only four of us made it last week, and of those that did, three of us weren't there the week before (that's when my Dad had his surgery). So Saturday night was the biggest fundraising dinner of the year for the County democratic party. We got a lift from our friend J so we didn't have to bring coats and whatnot, and we managed to find parking 1/2 block away for only $3.95. We got there a little before 6 PM and got checked in. It's from a combination of a bunch of reasons. I'm still battling the sinus infection from hell, and it seems like it will never leave. Still stuffy, still some sinus pain and still lots of crap in my system to cough up or sneeze out. *ugh!*

Was supposed to go out with my friend Debra who I haven't seen in forever and a day, but she got called in to head to work a couple hours earlier at 2 AM instead of her usual 4 AM, so she couldn't go out tonight.
