Read this story, seriously. If you've ever had any interest in fantasy or adventure, you should really read this. The worldbuilding is fabulous and it's thoroughly engaging and original, and just. It's fabulous. You probably don't need to be involved in bandom to read it, and it's a damn shame if you missed out on it because of it.

so apparently Rookie of the Year is going to come hang out at my school next week, play for us (acoustically) and talk to kids about the music industry. Interesting. Unfortunately, I don't have any free periods. So, I'm glad I'm not a really fan of the emo sound, because otherwise I would probably cut class (or just be distraught in general).

so I finally got around to starting to learn guitar. My sister has two lovely ones she never uses that lived in her room. I rescued one (with permission) and started playing...like, two hours ago. My sister gave me some books at Thanksgiving last year, including Wicked Lovely. She called it a plottier, better-researched Twilight. weeeeeeird day. Remember how I recently, inexplicably had a weird sick day? Today I also had a weird sick day, but weirder in that nothing even vaguely similar has happened to me before.
