My friends and I traveled to Chicago last week to see the HP exhibit and it was certainly worth the trip.

We traveled by train from Indpls. to Chicago just to be all Hogwarts Express about it.  We ate candy and corn beef sandwiches just to be silly.

A year ago...so many unanswered questions...fears about just how sad will Deathly Hallows be?  Who will snuff it?

More importantly, was I right on any of my theories?  I was supposed to do a presentation at the Prophecy convention and was worried that my whole presentation would be shot through with holes like Swiss cheese.

Yesterday, a grandmother of one of our kids who used to be in Critical Care came to see me.  A few months ago, her grandchild was on my unit because the mother's boyfriend had beaten her severely.   While they were here, I noticed that the grandma would read HP to her grandchild, even though the little thing was in a coma.  It was so heart-breaking ( Read more... )

I just went to Inconjunction last weekend and had a wondeful time.  There was a writing workshop and I submitted ten pages of my HP fan fiction for critique.  It was looked at by an actual editor of a publishing house.  She liked my story!  She was very encouraging and gave me a push towards building my own characters and world ( Read more... )

Currently, I am learning more about Quakerism and found out this morning that George Fox met with people called Seekers in England right before he got the Quaker momentum established.

 I agree that ending after Ron's return would be a good place to stop if they do not want to end on a cliff-hanger.  However, I figure that they will have a cliff-hanger ending.  Probably the first movie ends with the arrival of the Death-Eaters at the tent when they capture the trio.

At church yesterday, I was seated next to an ex- professor from Earlham College  who had written a book on William Penn and his theology.  This guy is doing a "Quaker 101" series at the church.  Next week, the topic goes from basic history facts to Inner Light theology.
