A year ago...so many unanswered questions...fears about just how sad will Deathly Hallows be? Who will snuff it?
More importantly, was I right on any of my theories? I was supposed to do a presentation at the Prophecy convention and was worried that my whole presentation would be shot through with holes like Swiss cheese.
After getting the book, I sat up all night and read it straight through. I kept a notebook and made a grid, and as I read the book , I wrote down page numbers for alchemy references, Christian metaphors, and any other interesting items.
I put down a star for any item that confirmed any of my theories (I got several stars! Mmwhhahahaha!)
It was a very satisfying experience. I doubt that there will ever be another book series in my life that I will pour so much into.
What happened to me, was that as a budding fantasy/comedy writer, I had met my mentor, and she was J.K. Rowling.
Her words got me off my butt and finally writing!
Well, actually, I write sitting down so I can't fully claim that I got off my butt! haha :):)
