I got myself a big new monster Tivo.  I wanted it for the disk space and viewing Netflix instantly.  I'm also happy to find that I can record HD programming and watch it on my old SD tv.  I did have to buy a converter box so my old tv can get the signals, but that box will be good if I buy a videogame system ( Read more... )

I live near Sunnyvale's downtown, where they've been trying to rebuild the old mall area for years now.  When I first moved to the area, there was a dark, low traffic, pathetic mall.  So, they decided to tear it down and build something new.  The first contractor went bust, the project went fallow for a while, but the city got another builder.  ( Read more... )

Recently I was looking into moving my husband's 401k money from his old employer to his new employer and what I discovered is somewhat surprising to me.
