So this update is just a little (a lot late)  I’ve found out that my favorite website for recipes is now going to be a pay to view.  However, that is for the monthly menus and since I’m more interested in the individual recipes I can probably live with it.  It is a shame though since I had been recommending that site to a lot of people.

I saw an interesting recipe on the Once a Month mom website as part of their meal plans called the Lasagna Cupcake.  They got it from this site. That particular recipe uses wonton wrappers.  I figured I would use proper lasagna noodles but make them myself.  Once I cook them I can cut them down to fit the muffin tin and have it fairly healthy as ( Read more... )

Ok made the sausage stuffed loaf recipe that I have been eying but instead of using the freezer bread I used my traditional whole wheat bread recipe . Also given that it is summer I used fresh spinach that I purchased (I wish the ones in my garden would grow) and oregano that I saved from the pruning two weeks ago. I've been putting this off for too long.

Well so far I'm trying to make sour dough bread but it is coming out more like sour dough pancakes.  It isn't rising.  However, I think I may have found part of the problem.  The recipe I'm using asks for proofed starter.  I figured the starter was active that was proofed right?

Well so much for letting my strawberries ripen on the plant.  Someone stole all of them yesterday.  I'm not impressed.

Also yesterday after going to the church's pancake breakfast I went to my brother's house to make home made spaghetti.  We both grind our own wheat so we had lots of whole wheat to work with.  This is how we did it.
