I'm trying to be more of a "home" person. I typically like being out much more than being home. My housework, and pocketbook, suffer for it. This money conscious thing is really important to me because I want to be able to enjoy my free time while also supporting myself solely on arts related jobs. I finally had an audition that went well. Surprisingly, it was a voice audition for the solo in Regina Coeli by Mozart. I was barely nervous. Sounding as good as I did when practicing at home was a really encouraging experience for me. It doesn't happen too often, but I'm hoping it will become more and more frequent.

I really wish I could do just one audition without being terrified. Seriously. I walk in, I'm waiting to go on, totally fine . . . The minute I start singing I'm shaking (I think noticeably) and all I can think about is trying not to look nervous. They laughed at my acting (in a good way). Maybe that will help. It's hard to say. Two days off in a row really makes a difference. I feel like I have more free time than I've had in a really long time, but at the same time I still feel like it's not enough. Or maybe it's too much?
