I spent four hours putting up and decorating my six-foot tree alone. This is what being picky gets you. I hurt. I'll be tweaking and repositioning things the whole time it's up.

for saying the same thing only adding (what ye gods a WHOLE WEEKEND WITHOUT VIDEOGAMES), i am now being shouted at by a whole server of trolls who are insisting that nobody at the age of 12 (or seven) can neurologically comprehend repercussions, you have to be mid- or late-20s to develop that.

what the fuck has the world come to? throw these people in a fire, they might not know that hot things hurt. (make it a dumpster fire.)

I damned well understood repercussions at that age.

What is it with people thinking 20-somethings are still children lately? I've seen people online say no one over the age of 30 can talk to someone even in their 20s without being a pedo.

i don't know. to be fair, i keep meeting intelligent, fairly down-to-earth people in their early/mid 20s who seem to think that the world started when they did, and they make the most *egregious* social failures. but--they're not stupid! they're not going to steal a damned SUV over a social media challenge! they make more than i ever have in my life and they're WAY more responsible about life plans and savings and retirement! they're more responsible. they just think...that life started when theirs did, and what's with all the old people telling them that they're being foolish (they are) or rude (they are)?

blar. BLAR, i say.
