My neurosurgery office canceled today's appointment as well, due to him needing to do emergency surgery again. It seems that the office called my cell phone at 9 a.m. but for some reason it didn't ring. Since it didn't ring the whole time I had it with me I didn't think I'd need to check for messages, which is why I did a 45-minute commute to his ( Read more... )

DIE MILLIE DIE!!!!!!.....though I'm willing to settle for a full-blown, on-top-of-the-monthlies-and-a-bad-cold case of diarrhoea. Hopefully, she'll be out for a week and the next time you call your Neurosurgeon, there'll be a friendly, competent other secretary that will give you an appointment straight away and check with the doc beforehand for advice on your medication and get those forms filled out straight away.

She started off friendly in November and is still sometimes friendly. Maybe she's getting hostile because I keep calling back because my doctor never gets back to me, fills out forms in reasonable time, or is lately keeping his appointments with me. She may also be getting bitched out by other patients who have been cancelled on once or, like me, twice recently.

It sounds like the part of the form that still needs to be done has to be filled out by him, not her.

Still NO way to talk to/treat a patient like that. If you have to cancel an appointment for a patient, especially if this has happened twice, you darn well apologize very, very politely and you take special care to get all the other stuff you can do done extra-quick. Even if this means you have to bug your doc a bit. That's what makes a good secretary ( ... )

Might be worth ringing again to reschedule the appointment. Eventually they'll have to work something out with you. I'd suggest keeping a record of all the phone calls etc - may be helpful if you have trouble with insurance.

I hope you get the help you need from them soon.

there is onely one thing you can do! change the doctor. There must be more than one neurosurgeron in NY. You don't have to tolerate that!

By the way, I loveyou Icon! It imresses my feelings from yesterda verry well! Here in germany is big shit going on as well. I tried to get some help with my dyslexia and then they from colege, toldto be carefull, that it wouldnt b a problem later on when I'm finished with studdying, when it comes to the form that I finaly become a doctor. I really ask my self what the dyslexia has to do with becomming an good doctor or not?!
I'm still pissed!
Sorry!

Big hug and good luck with the sergeron

Given how much trouble I'm having getting any help from this doctor or his office, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get him to give me my records so I can go to another doctor.

I'm sorry you've been having troubles too. Thanks. ::hugs::
