A little bummed out because I got weeded out of the last round in that Flash Fiction Contest. However, I made it three rounds starting with over 2,100 writers, so I guess that's pretty good.

Just learned I'm advancing to the next round in my writing contest ... didn't make #1 this time, but still in the top five.

Alas, my story didn't make the cut for the Malice Domestic anthology. I'm a little bummed, but at least they were polite enough to email me and let me know - most places don't even bother.

Book 2 is FINISHED - now to do that huge first edit ... and figure out what the hell I'm going to title it.

Just learned that I placed first in my group at the NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Challenge!

This is a contest where we're starting with around 60 groups of writers and will weed our way down to one winner by December. Each group is given a genre, location and story prop at midnight Friday, and you have to produce 1000 words by midnight Sunday.

Just got the outline for the new Wolf Creek novel - deadline is in March and Dublin has a whole chapter by himself.

Just found that my travel piece didn't make the cut - well, it was a long shot anyway.
