Working on a historical/sci-fi/detective story for a new anthology. I figure Badi has been a PI for a good long time, so I'm using him again. I like his sarcastic attitude. Hopefully so will the editors of the anthology...
I have a couple of paid articles to do but I'm dawdling on them because of the short stories I'd like to finish. One of them is on cryptocurrency (again ... we just did an article on bitcoin) and the other is one of the Amish romance plots.
I also need to finish a couple of short stories by the end of the month. One's for an anthology called "Negotiating the Ruins" and is about how the velyr had to adjust to the loss of their relationships when they were exiled. It's sad so it's taking me longer to finish that one. And I have that piece for the "magazine" they're doing about how gender will change in 50 years. That's finished but I need to edit it and make it sparkle.
Another chore for today is to do a couple of blog posts since it's been around a week since I posted anything. I miss the days of 2-on/2-off work days sometimes. It probably was all in my head, but it seemed as if I had more free time then. I don't miss the 12-hour days though ...
