I am way too old to trip and fall and skin my knees ...
We have canvas camp chairs that are God-knows how old. I was trying to get out of mine and pushed on one arm --which promptly collapsed. I tried to regain my balance but it was no use. Today I really feel old and broken!
We did have a good July 4th though aside from that ... the fireworks turned out to be mostly good purchases, which is always nice to find out. After all, what does the name "Silver Dragon" or "Metal Claw" actually tell you about how nice a show you're going to get?
I sent in one story to an anthology about Alt-History Detective Stories and am finishing up the one for "Inclusive Future" about how gender will change in 50 years. Hopefully my "scientific article" won't be too subtle for them.
Back to work tomorrow. Hopefully we will have something to do Friday this week. Last week I was off Monday and Friday both and the paycheck isn't going to cut it for my bills! Having to dip into the savings this month... If we can just get through Summer, though, things should pick up once the students start needing their vaccinations again. We may even be doing pediatric vaccinations in addition to the COVID one, which will up our hours a good bit.
