So this is 2 weeks later ...
We went to a friend's place in the country for July 4 and I tripped over my collapsing camp chair. I guess it's true that the older you get, the longer it takes to heal up. My knee is still tender to the touch too.
On the good news side, work has decided that I am back to being based in Greenville rather than Spartanburg (which cut about 40 miles from my daily mileage). I'm back to overtime on the hours and ~200 miles for last week's paycheck. Of course, last week we worked an extra day so...
In writing news, I'm reworking a Devon Day & the Sweetwater Kid story to see if Cricket magazine might want that for their upcoming historical fiction issue. I figure the lads are around 14 in this story so it should count as MG work. I'm also looking at some sci-fi anthologies due in August. Nothing firm on those, but I'm pondering my options. Might send in a couple of stories that were rejected from previous anthologies.
I'm reading an interesting new sci-fi book which I believe is the opener for a series. It's about a "murderbot" who is supposed to be a cyborg security construct but who has hacked his own governor module and now wants nothing more than to spend his days binging the far-future equivalent of Netflix.
