Just learned that I placed first in my group at the NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Challenge!

This is a contest where we're starting with around 60 groups of writers and will weed our way down to one winner by December. Each group is given a genre, location and story prop at midnight Friday, and you have to produce 1000 words by midnight Sunday.
