I'm curious, not on what the 'vegan' response is, but on each individuals perception of the acceptability of abortion as I feel this and veganism would be closely intertwined? Not everyone has the time or resources to work directly "with those affected by the cruelty industry." I think through careful evaluation of our own personal feelings and thoughts on a matter, along with some education, we can develop a sound stance on an issue without ever having donated our time to a cause.
I think it is wonderful you are doing what you can for a cause you believe in. And, I do think people can gain insight and perspective on an issue they strongly believe in BY spending time with agencies who share similar (or even different!)perspectives. But, a person can formulate an ethical stance of "right" or "wrong" without volunteering time or money to organizations.

however the problem with abortion is much deeper than it being legal. the mindset of people in regards to sex needs to be reworked. if you arent in a position to have a child, you arent in a position to be having sex! people today are so hooked on it tho. it is sad to me.
