You know, directly work with those affected by the cruelty industry rather than spout rhetoric regarding what's right and wrong?

Not everyone has the time or resources to work directly "with those affected by the cruelty industry." I think through careful evaluation of our own personal feelings and thoughts on a matter, along with some education, we can develop a sound stance on an issue without ever having donated our time to a cause.

I think it is wonderful you are doing what you can for a cause you believe in. And, I do think people can gain insight and perspective on an issue they strongly believe in BY spending time with agencies who share similar (or even different!)perspectives. But, a person can formulate an ethical stance of "right" or "wrong" without volunteering time or money to organizations.
