[Vriska is being her usual, frolicking, bitchy self until she spots her ex-moirail.

Holy shit, Kanaya.

Holy shit. Is it really her? The last time she disappeared, Vriska flipped Vatheon turnways so. Whoa.]

[Kanaya is sitting on the edge of the fountain, experimenting with the SFC for a while. Hearing her name spoken pulls her attention away, though!]

[Welp, the sfc is being put aside in favor of talking to her ex-moirail potential-matespirit friend?]

I have been here a little over an hour now, and only that. A few people told me that I have been here before but I don't remember being here... I was last talking to Karkat in the lab, if that tells you anything about when I'm from.

...That is still a very strange thing to say. When I am from. Because we are evidently all from different points in time. And no one knows how this is...

[Okay, that's not really a proper way to greet someone, but in Vash's defense, he's not known for his tact. Getting up from his place at his outdoor table, he quickly manages to get a towel from one of the waiters and strides over to her with a grin, offering the towel.]

Sorry- the name's Vash. You alright there?

[Kanaya is perfectly accustomed to people without tact. She's friends with the other trolls. More startling than his manners is his pale white skin and complete lack of horns. In person! She accepts the towel while visibly gaping at him.]

Yes thank you. Your name is Vash? I am Kanaya. Um, could you tell me where I am?

Yeah! Aradia. Long black hair, cheery attitude, curled back horns?

[He feels a bit awkward being stared at, but just deals with it. Hey, as long as no one is shooting at him, he is perfectly fine with being gaped at. Besides... He'll blame it on the sudden arrival.]

Well, if you believe everyone else here, this place is called Vatheon. It takes people from all over the place, or something. It's a bit lost on me. [He rubs the back of his head sheepishly.]

[This is said with a hint of disbelief. Yes, the sudden arrival is a fine theory for why she's behaving oddly. The reality is that she's a new arrival, you're an unfamiliar, pale squishy human, and now you're claiming Aradia is cheery.

But then you make a claim about it taking people all over the place. And if people can be abducted from any location, any universe, then through time is plausible too. Maybe there's a young, still living Aradia here?]

Yes, I knew Aradia. Or know her I guess. I think I will ask her to explain how she's here and see for myself if she is cheery.

[Glub glub glub, hey, another tr- Kanaya? Kanaya! The last time this fishy princess saw you was when you spoke to her and Sollux on the horn pile! Feferi moves quickly over to Kanaya, getting into the fountain with her without a second thought, even if Kanaya ends up getting out herself.]

"Kanaya! Wow! When did you swim into Vatheon?"

I have no particular preferred posting style... so I think I'll just mimic what others do. :)

[Kanaya has indeed been climbing out of the fountain, but she's willing to sit on the edge and chat.]

"I do not remember swimming here, or coming here at all. I last remember speaking to Karkat... then I regained consciousness in this decorative water fountain. Do you know where we are?"

"Yes! We're in Vatheon! Some underwater city that brought us here for an otterhwhales mysterious reason!" [She grins, sitting happily in the fountain water. Tact? What's that even? She's a friggen Empress to be.]

"I think...all of us are here now! Wow! I'm sure sure though, hmmm...maybe all of us are..."

"I hadn't realized it was possible to have cities underwater... At least not that anyone could live in. What do you mean that the city brought us here?"

[Kanaya hasn't forgotten her Jade!universe theory. If she knew much more about the outer ring entities she might be far more suspicious of Feferi's enthusiasm... but then she is a snooty prospit dreamer, and doesn't know much about them besides "dark might be bad."

It's only been a few minutes for Kanaya since she last heard the nautical puns, but some of them still throw her off. Was the combination of otterwhales necessary? For Feferi it probably was. Still, with the initial enthusiasm, her trailing off was worrisome.]

"All twelve of us are here then? Or do you have reason to believe that this has recently changed?"

[Eridan was actually out and about despite his usual reclusive behavior--he had been taking Feferi's advice and had been going out more regularly--he approaches the plaza, more so using it as a cut through to get somewhere else when... Someone in the fountain catches his eye. He couldn't believe it at first, staring and gawking at her for a few moments. Even rubbing at his eyes underneath his glasses and staring again.]

[It's then when his stomach tightens and he feels the sudden urge to run--abscond--flee! And so he does, finding a hiding place behind a lamppost. Okay maybe this wasn't the best of hiding places with all things considered like that gaudy cape, but it worked!]

[He fumbles with his SFC to send her a text, because oh my god he cannot face her.]

[And look who else decided to show up! Gamzee actually visits the coral pretty often. Has to keep up on it, you know! Else he might do something crazy and not-good like fall asleep.

He actually does not notice her at first, too intent on shoving his hands against the coral to receive the refreshing energy. Once that is done though, he spies a familiar form just behind the coral. A more intelligent troll might have gone around the coral to look at her and make sure, but not Gamzee, no. He finds the nearest weird holey outcrop of the coral that is big enough to fit his head through and... fits his head through.

He will be fine. Probably. Right now he is way too excited though, cause yes! Friend! Spotted!]

[Kanaya is, by now, happily dry and given the loose rundown of this place. How much she believes it is a separate question. For now, she's exploring the main landmark that has been mentioned to her, the coral.

[Kanaya's going to approach, and examine just how stuck he's gotten himself. She may need to reach in to pull him out, after all. It's Gamzee, and he really should have someone looking after him. Which reminds her...]

Did you speak to Karkat recently? He was worried about you the last time I talked to him. Which, now that I think about it, may have been a long time ago for either of you.

This is my first time visiting the coral. And, as I can remember, the first time I have been to this place. You remember me being here before then?
