Zero-centric discussion post.

Feb 09, 2012 18:10

As the last discussion post went by peacefully, I figured I could make another one, I'm rather curious. This time it will be Zero-centric instead. :)

If he's your favourite character, why do you like him? When did you decide he's your favourite?
Alternatively, if you dislike him or are neutral about him, why?

Please, stay polite, I don't want to see ( Read more... )

I know it's part of the plot, but I think it's really cruel of her to keep them both waiting and making them hate each other even more.

But since when did she leave both of them waiting? I didn't see Yuuki being conflicted because she needed to choose between Kaname or Zero (romantically) in any of the latest chapters (or ever, for that matter).

I didn't read any of he newer chapters after Yuuki biting Zero,
so my opinion may not be too up to date ^^;
It's based on the older chapters.
But good hear that this situation changes!

Well, Yuuki IS conflicted. She feels an obligation to Kuran, but she can also be seen pining for Zero [in blood and in companionship]. But since she made it clear her intent, and Zero knows her intent well, she never left either one waiting... but she is conflicted.

Zero is one of my favourite characters. Why? Hard to say...I love that he's also not perfect, I love that he is so caring and rather selfless. Especially in the most recent chapter when he is getting mad at Kaname, he's not mad at Kaname because of just him but because of Ichiru and his family. Although he may be a bit of a fool at times and quite cold I feel he has his reasons. He became something he hates, lost his family and then when he was opening up to someone lost her too as she is something he hates the most. He just seems to be the guy that always gets the short end of the stick. And then there are the moments when he loses his composure and acts, embracing Yuuki on multiple occasions as example ( ... )

I love Zero because... for me, he has always been the most sympathetic character out of all. You just KNOW he's not a bad person. He's incredibly likable, even with all his tsunderness. I also don't think that its a coincidence that the author chose to make him out to be the most understandable character from the get go, especially with the recent chapters. There's been so much effort put into fleshing him out, even when he becomes cold and closes himself off, you can guess what he must be feeling and where he must be coming from. We know his motives. He can BE a trusting person, as evidenced by his an Yuuki's former friendship, but he also has just enough reason not to be. He is most definitely not a bad person, even though he may think he is from time to time, making him very, and truly, endearing ( ... )

Hello :D

I adore Zero, and like to think myself part of that lucky crowd that loves both him and Kaname. They share character traits between each other I respect, admire, and simply find endearing. I see them as two sides of the same coin mirroring very similar aspects in different ways. (Hence me getting overly excited with Kaname's most recent phrase to Yuuki: "Ask Zero, he understands me most.")

It might sound weird (it does to me, now that I think about it), but what I first liked about Zero was how expressive he was with his anger, as in he isn't afraid of making people uncomfortable by being physically or verbally aggressive. Being able to say/show what's on your mind, especially when it comes to the important bits, no matter if it comes out as something less than pleasant, is a must for me, as I personally value communication with people I care about, and Zero delivers that in spades. If he doesn't seem clear about something (such as his interactions with Yuuki) it's because he's unclear about it himself (and doesn't go about ( ... )
