Zero-centric discussion post.

Feb 09, 2012 18:10

As the last discussion post went by peacefully, I figured I could make another one, I'm rather curious. This time it will be Zero-centric instead. :)

If he's your favourite character, why do you like him? When did you decide he's your favourite?
Alternatively, if you dislike him or are neutral about him, why?

Please, stay polite, I don't want to see ( Read more... )

I know it's part of the plot, but I think it's really cruel of her to keep them both waiting and making them hate each other even more.

But since when did she leave both of them waiting? I didn't see Yuuki being conflicted because she needed to choose between Kaname or Zero (romantically) in any of the latest chapters (or ever, for that matter).

I didn't read any of he newer chapters after Yuuki biting Zero,
so my opinion may not be too up to date ^^;
It's based on the older chapters.
But good hear that this situation changes!

Well, Yuuki IS conflicted. She feels an obligation to Kuran, but she can also be seen pining for Zero [in blood and in companionship]. But since she made it clear her intent, and Zero knows her intent well, she never left either one waiting... but she is conflicted.

I suppose you're right. Err, I probably should have worded it better.

S'okay. :) I'm just glad I wasn't reading a different story altogether. lol

I agree with you on this, despite our disagreements in another, Kaname-centric topic. :) Yuuki is clearly in love with Kaname, she never deceived anybody about it. Imho, people who think that she's conflicted see something that isn't there.

She never deceived anyone about her love for Kaname... has that ever been brought up for question? She's completely infatuated with him, that much is obvious. So, yeah, I don't disagree with either one of you on that part, but I'm wondering why you guys are saying she's not conflicted? Am I missing something here?

Sorry, I don't get much of a chance to talk about VK with others, so... mind if I hijack dear Zero's thread? lol

Sure, it's ok to talk, this is what LJ is for :) I too find it hard to find anime fans IRL, let alone VK fans.

Well, I can't speak for serafira, but what I mean by Yuuki not being conflicted is that I've never seen her consider Zero romantically or flirt with him. Whereas in Kaname's case it's plain visible by her reactions: consider how in the last chapter she thought "my Kaname" upon seeing him and started to walk towards him. I don't know how it can be more obvious than that. And all her recent talks like "I'm a piece on his chessboard and I'm alright with that", etc. In comparison, Zero is like a lost best friend. Hopefully I answered your question :)

Heh, one thing that we can agree on, that was exactly what I meant xD

Thank you!

Oh yeah, I can get that. I just think that a lot of the VK readers miss a lot of subtext when it comes to Zero and Yuuki. Even though they never explicitly tell each other what they feel for the other, I think it is very obvious that they feel. I just wish everyone else would see it! lol I went looking through the entire manga again to point out specific scenes, but I don't wanna spam the page. >.>; And you know, Hino said that the person Yuuki loves is a mystery, sooo... it's not wrong to question her affections every now and again, you know? ;D lol

Sure, it's just my opinion, it doesn't have to be 100% true. Even IRL it's hard to tell your feelings sometimes. I'm personally really confused about stuff like crushes, because some of them last only for a few days or a week and are more like obsessions. Those certainly aren't 'love', right? So what is love - when your heart beats fast (but such things are always relatively short-lived) or when you're best friends and soulmates who love spending time with each other? In the end, it's up to Hino-sensei what she considers love ( ... )
