I was beginning to figure it wasn't coincidence. It started off creepy and now it's just annoying.

Yeah. [The word is drawn out.] They actually looked pretty good and by the time somebody mentioned poison. Well, you know how it works. If I'm going to die again, at least I can have some sweets, right?

[She's clearly curious about the 'secret' but doesn't ask about it.]

I haven't tried it. Around here, the better it looks, the worse it probably is.

[Wry grin.]

Probably. That...was sort of a weird message you got there...Something about altering DNA?

Oh-- yeah. [She glances aside briefly, thinking] I've dealt with... well, I'm a Special Operations Agent for a counterbioterrorism unit, so I've seen my share of nasty viruses. A lot of them worked by changing DNA in their victims.

[Have a raised eyebrow from Thomas.] If it didn't, it'd be pretty creepy.

[Have a brief laugh back] I meant would eating one make the rest shut up, but... that's a good point.

[He laughs.] Wait, you're talking about teaching candy a lesson?

I'm always open to better suggestions if you have any, Thomas.
