Fun to dye
Today I did my first attempt at dyeing yarn with kool-aid. I had some yarn I spun up with the practice roving from my lessons and figured if I messed up the dyeing with it I wouldn't be too upset. So into the crock-pot it went.

Ravelympics completed!
On Ravelry.com they had their own version of the Olympics. We challenged ourselves to start and finish a project within the time frame of the Olympics.
I stepped out of my comfort zone and picked a larger project, a shawl. It was finished yesterday!

Cap news
I've posted before about making chemo caps for Knots of Love. The past month I've been going hat crazy and have sent three shipments out. Usually the founder of Knots of Love will follow up with an email telling the maker where the caps will be sent.

Another First
As you know I've been making caps for Knots of Love. For one of them I went freeform and used a stitch I learned from a granny square pattern on Ravelry.com. After posting my project on ravelry, I had a few requests for the pattern.

After learning how to crochet, I found some very helpful websites. Through the communities here at LJ I found out about ravelry.com.
