Knots of Love

After learning how to crochet, I found some very helpful websites. Through the communities here at LJ I found out about ravelry.com.

On ravelry there are discussion groups on every subject imaginable. Through there I discovered Knots of Love. This chapter group on ravelry is headed up by a wonderfully sweet lady, Teresita. Knots of Love is a charitable organization based out of California that collects knitted and crochet caps and distributes them to cancer patients. These caps are called chemo caps.

My dear friend Sandy lost her mother to cancer at the beginning of the year. With her and her valiant fight in mind, I joined the Knots of Love ravelry group last week. This weekend I finished two caps.

If any of you are interested in donating time, talent or yarn to this group, I highly recommend it!
