Still alive, struggling with pain and depression. Latest doctor visit not helpful as she's referred me to a pain clinic. Why didn't she do this 6 weeks ago? Didn't help that appt was at 11:45, but I wasn't seen til 1:45. I understand delays happen, but it would have been nice to know so I could feed parking meter. Thus $30 parking ticket

So sorry for your trouble. Also admiring at the tallow candles. Does this mean that you rendered a lot of beef suet? If so, more props still.

Yes, I rendered beef suet. Was fortunate to have a huge hunk of suet from a freshly slaughtered cow given to me by a butcher. It wasn't smelly as I'd feared.
The trouble is a nightmare, just putting one foot in front of the other til I get out of it.

I didn't see this post earlier so I'm playing catch up now.

It aggravates me when doctor's won't admit (right up front) that they have no experience with a patient's particular problem so they can be referred to a doctor who does. And the $30 parking ticket on top of that would have pissed me off no end.

Your candles and rushlights turned out great! I've wondered how the project went, and it warms my little heart to know that my "chemical expertise" may have actually been helpful.

This is the top neurosurgeon for trigeminal neuralgia. I have a lot of faith in her, however, due to my complex medical history re the right side of my face, it's hard to be sure what's going on. I don't want brain surgery if it's not going to help.

I shouldn't grumble re the $30 as I know folks in the US have to pay far more than that to see a doctor, never mind the parking.

Two hours is a long time to wait to see the doctor whatever the reason! Add a $30 parking ticket and I'd be ready to curse!
