the good things for today are slightly mitigated by the fact that my car doors are frozen shut. at least i don't have to drive anywhere until tomorrow. but still! my dad's helpful

i don't read band slash. i only read that one because apiphile kept going on about the peefic and i was curious. it's really, really funny, but there really is an extreme amount of pee in it and apparently i think that kind of thing is hysterical.

I would say not boiling water. Try room temp water, and be ready to yank the door open shortly after application so it doesn't re-freeze. (It feels weird to offer winter tips to you? But we are WAY more likely to get ice than snow down here, so.)

you're giving me cold weather tips! how weird is that? dad also suggested wiping down the inside of the doors with a paper towel after i get them open, on the theory that if they're dry they can't refreeze.

i have no chemical de-icer, and by the time i got home i didn't want to go back out and get some. but man, it is a useful thing to have.
