Hi guys, I'm new here so I apologize if this has been posted before but I checked the tags and I didn't see it. I love anything made with under three ingredients so when I heard of this one ingredient ice cream I just HAD to try it.

BANANA ICE CREAM?!?!?! )

I forget which company makes it, but there is banana split flavored icecream. It is awesome.
I'll have to try that recipe.

I tried this with over ripe bananas and it was okay but not amazing. Now I want to try again with better bananas.

I've heard of this recipe but was never enticed at trying it until seeing your picture of the consistency. Mmmm... with melted peanut butter and honey over the top...

This was one of our big treats when I was growing up. My Mom used to put frozen bananas through her Champion juicer whole with one of the puree attachments on the end, and the Champion would just smoosh out yummy frozen banana "sorbet".

We also used to make frozen banana strawberry "ice cream" that way and a million other fruit variations. The Champion juicer was pretty boss for making tasty, healthy things with.

I wish I had a juicer! It worked great in my mini food processor though

I made this the other day, but the bananas I used were pretty much all over ripe (my mom sticks bananas that get too ripe in the freezer if we aren't in the mood to make banana bread, so we have quite the stockpile). It did have a weird banana-ey taste, well now I know why. I might try it again with some flavors to try and mask it cause I liked the consistency. I heard peanut butter and some cocoa powder is good.
