It's been a week since the ArtStart festival~
Mainly, my issue with it was the fact that management did a piss poor job of advertising, thereby limiting attendances. I think that they should have put a bit more effort, at least in laying out some signage outside the building to prompt people to take a look..Ah well. What Joy Is II
This obsession with swallows will NOT leave me alone!
This particular painting took a while due to the very detailed subject. The bankground is a smooth blend of multiple teals and blues and greens with dashes of sienna, and I must have spent hours trying to get the medium to behave because honestly, acrylic is NOT made for this sort of blending. A friend of the family messaged me on Facebook to tell me that he spoke with someone who is about to open up an 'art cafe' next month, and who intends on featuring different artists on different months.
