This obsession with swallows will NOT leave me alone!

This particular painting took a while due to the very detailed subject. The bankground is a smooth blend of multiple teals and blues and greens with dashes of sienna, and I must have spent hours trying to get the medium to behave because honestly, acrylic is NOT made for this sort of blending. I'

Oh wow, that is absolutely gorgeous!! I fell in love with those blues and greens instantly.... I even had the impulse to buy it. Seriously...then I saw the price and knew I'd go over my credit limit this month with that.... So...err...hopefully it's still there later?

I'm glad you like it! It's one of only two paintings at that size- usually I tend to stick to smaller canvases but this one looks pretty darn nice if set on those mini photo frame easel thingies.
