Well it looks like things continue to just keep getting better for SpaceX, the American commercial space company. They've already had great successes with their Falcon rockets and Dragon capsules, and they're about to be put to the test once more.

Well, it seems SpaceX is doing well for itself. I remember reading months ago about how they had been accepted as a commercial space program, and had already started securing contracts to send supplies and even personnel up to the ISS. They've apparently got plans to start launching orbital labs and stuff too, which should prove interesting ( Read more... )

A 2GW Maglev wind-turbine? Yes please. :D What a brilliant little bit o' conceptual Engineering right there! Takes up 100 acre's of land, has on-site power storage and conversion, and would definitely be a better option than hundreds of smaller tower turbines. ^^http://www.
