Moar SpaceX Goodness

Holy crap, I still use this thing? We'll see if any o' you lot still bother reading it. :D My last entry, several months ago, was about SpaceX and their new Falcon 9 rocket system, and the Dragon capsule that rides atop it. Things have continued to progress with their research and development over the months, and they're doing quite well for ( Read more... )

I STILL READ IT!! :D

Yeah, I've been watching the advancements of this project as well. :) Every step we take towards space exploration, the closer we can get to space colonization. Sure it probably won't be achieved in my lifetime, but it's important to make steps like this.

MAGIC! :D

Actually it seems more and more likely that we will see space colonization in our lifetimes. ^^ Hell, there's a few plans on the board through NASA, and other organizations, to potentially start sending people to Mars before the decade is out. I like their one-way colonization idea. :3

I read it. I just don't know if I should be happy that we're moving forward, or worried that whatever gets decided on will be "the limit" for the next 30 years.

Woo! I'm not sure if people are looking to put new limits on things. There are so many other companies and organizations building their own ships, space planes, new engines, tech, etc... No doubt in a few years we'll see these things flying, and shortly after they'll get used to build a larger VASIMR powered ship in orbit, or something. :D

Good to see you back, Tomby! Missed you.

And yes, that's a cool bit of techno-wizardry. I remember being disappointed forty years back, when they cut the jet engines OFF the Space Shuttle -- this makes up for that in spades.

I haven't gone anywhere! ^^ I just haven't been making posts.

Yar, quite a nice bit o' tech indeed. :3 Here's hoping things continue to develop for a while, and get used this time eh? :D

I do enjoy seeing your posts whenever you do so, so indeed I do read them (I just don't comment on many journals).

I wonder if creating a breathable atmosphere on, say, mars - is possible...

Cheers eh. ^^ There's actually quite a lot of research and tech development about producing a viable atmosphere on Mars. The science-types think it is very possible. :3
