[By now, it's obvious that an experiment is happening. The village has already settled into a rush of chaos and noise as people wake to find themselves somehow altered in some way or another. Generally, Robin makes it his business to investigate these sorts of things. It's just that there's a bigger issue demanding much more of his concern at ( Read more... )

[A Turtle approaches! He isn't exactly passing, yet, but he is definitely coming towards. It appears that he either has not heard the journal announcement or is ignoring its directive. What do you do, bridge troll?]

[He POWER-LINEFACES, that's what. He stands on the shore side of the bridge, arms crossed.]

And just where do you think you're headed?

... To the square?

[He comes this way all the time. What's the problem?]

Not over this bridge you aren't. They're closed to the public. [And he's also journalstalked Donatello enough to know for a fact that he's not deaf, so really he should have known this already.]

[Pommy definitely hasn't heard the announcement. He's headed towards the bridge near the clinic, intending to cross it so he can visit House 34, a.k.a. that one house with the nice pretty lady.]

[NOT OKAY. When Pommy sets foot on the bridge, Robin snatches him up by the arm and dangles him in the air.]

Not today you're not. [And if it wasn't Pommy, Robin would be tossing him into the river to end that sentence. Stupid Pommy. Being all vulnerable and in need of a protector.]

[o hai it's the nice kid with the funny costume that Pommy last saw a million years ago! Pommy would be so much happier to see Robin if the teenager weren't currently holding him aloft a couple of feet off the ground.]

R-Robin? What are you doing?

Bridges are closed today. Had to get you off of it. [This is a perfectly normal thing to be doing. Why are you so freaked out, little guy?]

Caught any goats yet?

[She's lurking just out of reach... not visible at first, but that's what her powers are good for. She grins, watching from the side of the bridge, in cheshire cat-like garb. Ready to be countertrolled?]

Mmhm. You know that you usually are supposed to offer tolls.

Get something out of not letting people cross by eating the rich people that are willing to pay you first.

Well that's just silliness. titango September 25 2011, 21:42:47 UTC
If I institute a toll system, people will walk on my bridge. [Duh.]

... Wait, did you say eating people? [STOMACH. RUMBLE.]

[Completely innocent teenage girl crossing yo bridge with a few books. Heading to the library to have so much fun.

Come at her bro.]

[Oh no she di'nt. No fun will be had today! Absolutely none at all! Robin might have a lasso tied around her waist to pull her back off the bridge. He's trying to be gentle about it.]

[Lalala~ reading is so much fun-- Oh ok, lassos weren't on today's schedule. She shrieks as the lasso pulls her back off the bridge.]

Wh-Wh-What are you doing?!

Getting you off my bridge. [He explains it casually as he all but drags her several feet away, stopping only then to bend down beside her and untie his knot.]

Do you have a problem with that?

[Yes, well, experiment or not and warning or not, Katara's on her way to visit her friends in the north of the village. So far - so far - she's been unaffected.

So she'll just be going towards the bridge now.]

[Man, not Katara. He doesn't want to have to be grumpy at her. Robin likes her!
Sob. If it was fun they wouldn't call it "work".]

Bridges are off-limits, Katara. You can bend the river enough for dry passage otherwise, right?

[And suddenly appearing Robins! From... under the bridge. Huh.]

Sure I can. But why are the bridges off limits?

Because they're mine. [And there is absolutely nothing wrong with this logic in the slightest. Obviously.] I've been working on a few ways to keep people off of them, but there hasn't been enough time to get a decent system going yet.
