Summary: Yuma's about to leave and Yamada tried to convince him into going.. Will he?
Yamada's heart sank as he continue to watch Yuri cry. He felt so helpless, at a loss. He want to help Yuri so badly, to stop the pain he's feeling but he can't and it made him feel so useless.
Yuri slowly cried himself to sleep and Yamada tucked him in his bed.
He kissed Yuri softly on the forehead before going out of the room. As expected, the others were waiting outside. He appreciate their efforts in staying out of the room and not barging in.
Once he closed the door, they bombarded him with questions.
Yamada sighed.
"Yuma broke up with him.."
"WHAT?!"
"He's going overseas in 2 days."
The multiple shock faces reflected their reactions to Yamada's announcement.
"That idiot. He's going to get it from me."
They all pulled Takaki back and held on to him.
"You can't do anything Takaki, don't interfere."
"Demo.."
"No."
Takaki stopped struggling and nodded.
Yabu kept quiet. Yuri had talked to him about the situation with Yamada, but now, it seems that he's not a problem anymore. Yuma is.
"How is he?"
Yamada looked at Yuto, his face full of worry.
"He's sleeping now after crying for so long."
Yuto nodded and Keito held his hand. Yuto smiled at him. He's still worried about Yuri but Keito calmed him down with just a touch and he was grateful for that.
After a short discussion, they decided that they can't do anything. It's the couple's problem and they can't possibly interfere. They filed away and went back to their rooms.
Yamada returned inside and turned off the lights.
"Yuma..."
He heard Yuri mumble in his sleep and saw a tear fell.
"Even in his sleep.."
Yamada shook his head and went to squat down beside Yuri. He stroke his hair, hoping to stop the sadness and whatever dream Yuri is having.
It hurt him to see Yuri like this.
"Oyasumi."
Yamada watched Yuri a while more before getting on his bed and sleeping.
No one speak to Yuri about Yuma after that, they didn't want to remind him of it but it was obvious that Yuri was thinking about it. He looked gloomy all day and he didn't eat much.
Wherever he go, he had this listless look on his face and it worried them.
Yamada had tried talking to Yuri about it. Asking him to go look for Yuma and talk it out.
Yuma had send Yuri a message about his flight details. He'll be leaving the next day in the afternoon.
Yamada saw Yuri staring at it and decided that he couldn't ignore it any longer.
"Chii.."
Yuri quickly hide his phone away behind him and act as if nothing happened.
"I saw that. Don't hide Chii. I know you miss him."
"No, I don't."
"Chii..."
Yuri refuse to look at Yamada and continued being stubborn.
Yamada walked over to him and stood in front of him.
"Look at me."
"At least give him a call."
No reply.
"He's going to leave tomorrow!"
"I know!"
Yuri turned and look at him, tears in his eyes.
"I know! Yama-chan, I know."
"Then why?"
"It's.. I don't know."
"Are you going to send him off?"
"No."
"Why not? You should."
"He broke up with me."
"You know he don't mean it."
Yuri refuse to reply. Yes, he know Yuma said that on purpose. He knew he missed him. He knew Yuma would be leaving soon and he won't be able to see him for years. But Yuri is stubborn.
Yamada sighed. He gave up.
Why is he helping them anyway? He should be happy that they're breaking up, that Yuma is leaving because that means he would have a chance with Yuri but he just can't bring himself to. Not when Yuri is moping around about this. Not when he could see and feel Yuri's pain.
Yamada went to sleep, leaving Yuri to ponder and what he just said. He could see Yuri staring into space, holding on to his phone, reading and re-reading the message that Yuma had sent him.
He sighed and rolled over, facing the wall. He closed his eyes, not wanting to see Yuri like this.
Yuri woke up early the next day but he didn't get up. He stared at the ceiling as he lied in bed.
His phone buzz beside him and he knew who it was. He ignored it.
The continuous buzz woke Yamada up and he turned to look at Yuri.
"Is that your phone?"
Yuri turned to look at Yamada and he nodded.
"Yuma?"
Yuri didn't reply and he took that as a yes, he got up from his bed and shuffled to the toilet.
After washing up, he went over to Yuri and picked up his phone, reading the messages that was sent by Yuma.
Yuri had his eyes closed, with his right arm covering his eyes and didn't notice Yamada's actions.
"Chii, are you coming today?"
Yuri sat up and looked at Yamada, trying to snatch his phone away. Yamada moved away from him and continued reading.
"I'm sorry, you know I didn't mean it."
"Yama-chan!"
He tried grabbing it again but failed.
"I'm not breaking up with you. Please. Can you reply?"
"Chii! Don't do this to me! Onegai."
He scrolled through the inbox and looked through the messages, all containing about the same content.
Yuri gave up and watch as Yamada went through his phone.
"Are you going to reply him?"
Yuri ignored him and went into the toilet, slamming the door behind him.
Yamada sighed.
Yuma. He's ignoring your messages on purpose. Try calling him. - Yamada.
He typed that in and sent it to Yuma with Yuri's phone before leaving the room.
"Ohayo, Yama-chan~"
Yamada greeted the rest and went to sit down on his seat.
"How's Chii?"
"Still the same."
He drank the milk and took a piece of bread and took a bite.
"Yuma's been spamming him with messages but he's ignoring it."
"Poor Yuma.."
They heard footsteps coming down the stairs and shut up, changing the subject.
"Ohayo, Chii~"
Yuri nodded at them and went to sit down.
Yamada noticed the phone in his hand. It was vibrating but Yuri had set it to silent mode.
Apparently, Yuma had took his advice. Seemed like it didn't work either.
"Have some bread."
Yuto pushed the plate of bread towards Yuri and Yuri thanked him, taking one and nibbled on it.
He looked down at the phone in his hand.
The phone stopped vibrating but after a while it lighted up again, showing Yuma's name on it.
Keito noticed him staring at the phone.
"Not picking up?"
He whispered to Yuri and Yuri looked up at him.
"I..."
"Just pick it up, Chii."
Yuto leaned over Keito and whispered to him.
Yuri was unsure. He wanted to pick it up but he's scared of what he'll hear. He's afraid of hearing Yuma's voice because that would make him miss him more.
Yuri hesitated and finally pressed the pick up button.
"Chii. Finally. Why are you ignoring my messages?"
Yuri didn't say anything and he stood up, going to the living room. They all watched him as he left.
"It's Yuma."
Yuto mouthed to them and they nodded, all watching him as he sat down on the couch with the phone.
"Nevermind. Are you coming? I really miss you."
"Yuma..."
Yuri's voice broke.
"I really want to see you. Can you come? Onegai."
"Yuma, I.."
"I'll wait for you Chii, I'll wait for you before boarding the plane."
"I'm not..."
But Yuma had already hang up on him. Yuri checked the time. It's 10 plus, 2 more hours before Yuma's flight.
He went back to the dining table and everyone looked at him.
"Are you going?"
Yamada watched Yuri as he chewed on the piece of bread.
"Chii.. you..."
Yuri stood up and walked away, climbing back up to his room.
They watched him leave and sighed.
"He's so stubborn."
"He'll go. I'm sure of it."
"How do you know?"
"I'm sure of it. I just do. Just leave him be.."
They nodded at Yamada's suggestion and went back to eating.
