(Um, slight AU in that Alec remembers before "The Berrisford Agenda". Hope that's okay.)

Alec catches wind of him three months after Manticore burned down. He pauses, taking a deep breath just to be sure--it's him. The bastard that killed Rachel.

Spinning in place, Alec scans the nearby street and watches him hurry into an apartment building. After a moment, memories of Rachel playing in his mind, he sedately follows.

He's been hoping for someone from Manticore. Better still that it's this bastard.

Inside, the cat purrs and kneads his claws.
