Tonight I listened to Obama's victory speech while circling the airport, waiting to pick up my mom. When he announced that he was the Democratic nominee I had serious goosebumps. We had to put my dachshund, Clarence, down yesterday. To say I'm depressed would be a huge understatement.

Today was wonderful. I went to the LA Times Festival of Books at UCLA with one of my professors from last semester. We went to three panels and saw Amy Goodman, Tom Hayden, Howard Fineman, Arianna Huffington, Eric Alterman and Maxine Hong Kingston (among others). Today I received an email from a UK school I am 99.9% sure I am turning down. It was a general email from an American student that was sent in bulk through the International students office. I have to take my computer to Apple to get fixed tomorrow. There's no sound and they're more than likely going to have to ship it out for repair...which means no computer for a week (at least).
