I was being insincere.
I forgot that like several of our classmates, literary devices are wasted on you.

I'm well-versed in classical literature. However, nuances of behavior often escape me.

May I take this to indicate that my apology has yet to be accepted?

Your responses seemed designed to deliberately skew my data. I'm sorry that they were not displayed on the chart.

The exclusion was based only on statistical analysis. If sincere, you would still have been what is termed an "extreme outlier." After receiving Eridan Ampora's answers it became necessary to screen for any data more anomalous than his.

Invasive and socially unacceptable is the nice way of putting that, yeah.

Suddenly I'm actually glad I have two jobs and never get to hang out with the other students.

I have already issued an apology. My classmates have been singularly unhelpful in isolating trends which would help me avoid this in the future.

Okay, so, pretending for a couple minutes here that I care about your social advancement.

Don't do that seems to cover it pretty well.

Classifying categories of inappropriate inquiry and behavior would be more useful.

It was not my intent to cause anyone pain, and while some degree of emotional distress is an inevitability when thinking beings pierce the boundaries between one another to interact, I would prefer to minimize the damage done.

My social situation has not until recently permitted gradual acquisition of the necessary skills.
