For our lessons on demographics and classification, the social studies teachers and the youth counselor have informed me that my survey on deceased and missing loved ones which sorted fellow students into the Kubler-Ross stages of grieving was invasive and socially unacceptable.

Judging by the reactions of others, a careful examination of this statement suggests that it may be sarcasm.

However, my apology is sincere. Losing what you care about is a painful experience, as if the soul itself were tearing, and I did not realize that recalling such events would also recall pain.

I have been told my classification system was also offensive, and that was not my intent, either.

i know it was not your intent, but dude.
you have to understand that people can't just talk about their reaction to death without getting sad about the death itself.
