Faramir could have easily made Minas Tirith the previous day, but he had found himself in no hurry to reach the city and had taken his time to enjoy his travels. In the end it was worth his as he made the Fields of Pelennor as the sun rose in the East. Even wearing the costume he had bought for Homecoming, Faramir still rather felt as if he were a beggar among kings. All things considered, perhaps this particular event would have been timed better several weeks ago. Still, Faramir was a ranger and he would not be deterred by some cold. Sleeping in was not a habit Faramir had taken to now that there was no need to rise early. Even when his body had finally quieted down, he still found himself wide awake before he had anywhere to be.
