Minas Tirith - Orgilion Morning, Víressë 24, T.A. 3000

Faramir could have easily made Minas Tirith the previous day, but he had found himself in no hurry to reach the city and had taken his time to enjoy his travels. In the end it was worth his as he made the Fields of Pelennor as the sun rose in the East. And look who was standing (well, leaning) just outside the Great Gate, waiting for Faramir to notice him. Boromir did actually make his own fun.

There was the usual press at the gate first thing in the morning and the black, unforgiving lower wall glimmered in the sun. The guards came to attention as they noticed who was approaching, and their movement was enough to draw Faramir's attention towards them and the figure leaning against the wall.

"Boromir!" he couldn't help the grin that instantly lit up his face and he led Baru to the side, out of the way of the other people of the road before he jumped off the horse. "I take it my coming has not gone unnoticed then!"

"I wished to ride out last night to you, Little Brother!" he laughed, nodding to one of the guard to take Baru's reins so he could enfold Faramir in a back-slapping hug.

Faramir nodded gratefully at the guard and in the next instant he was hugging his brother fiercely.

"I thought you would still be in Osigiliath and that I would ride out to see you later," he admitted.
