I've been mentioning, on and off, that Ben has recently been waking and nursing like a newbaby. (Stephen insists I wouldn't be saying this if I remembered anything about what it was like to actually have a newbaby, but I already digress.) Anyway, every hour or two. Ben will be 2 years old next month. According to "the plan" I was going to begin gentle, mother-led weaning, in order for me to gain my fertility back so we can be ready to TTC later next year. Stephen was joking with me that Ben is like a firehose when he nurses. It's as if the milk is coming out at such a high velocity that he is wiggling all around as it shoots down his body and all the way into his toes. This is, of course, ridiculous, but still funny.
