A query.

What opinions do the owners of these devices have regarding the possibility and scope of travel beyond our atmosphere?

It's an engaging idea, but I think we should focus on trying to solve our problems here on earth first.

What problems would you suggest have higher significance?

War and violence in general. Theft. Prejudice. Hunger and ignorance of a lot of the things we take for granted that we understand about the world. Poverty. That kind of thing.

Do you think a better understanding of the world we live in - space included - could help some these problems? Human beings are an irrational and violent species, but perhaps in the face of something so much larger than themselves, they will unite.

That would be extremely awesome. I'd want to go.

Almost as good as flying.

I've always wondered what it would be like to fly in some kind of plane, or other kind of vehicle that can go that high...

As have I.

It's something that's been coming up in my dreams more recently, to be honest.

Elaborate.

I suppose that depends on if you believe there is anything out there to find. I'd hate for us to put all the effort into having the technology only to find nothing besides rock and an infinite amount of space.

Do you believe the stars are a trick of the atmosphere, sir?

Of course not. My point is that there is no guarantee that we'll find life among them if we ever accomplish the ability to travel to them.

Even without discovering life, the information we may learn about the universe and the stars would be monumental.

Why look outward when there's still so much to learn inward?

Earth itself is still a mystery; it seems as if you're abandoning it for bigger unknowns.

Perhaps both could be explored? Surely each can teach us about the other.
