Give or take a few months.
Needless to say, I'm terrified of what they may find. I can feel it in my gums this is not going to be pretty or feel good.
It is, in fact, going to be very ugly and feel signicantly horrible.

You're not alone, by the way. I think the last time I went to the dentist, Clinton was President. There's a pretty good chance that the next time I go, a Clinton will again be President.

Also, if I'm in serious pain, I'm raiding your pill collection.

Which reminds me...it's been like 6 months since my last visit and I still have a temporary filling that is supposed to be made permanent at some point. Damn, gotta make an appointment (and a doctor's appointment, and an dermatologist appointment...sigh).

At least I floss and brush everday. I'm hoping that's been a help.
It's the expense, more than the pain, that scares me. I'm just not sure how much I can afford (really, I cannot afford any of it) to fix if there's a lot that needs repair.

Gum disease is weird, though. It can move right along and not really cause pain, or so I've read. I'll just hope for the best. They're certainly receding in some areas so there's reason for concern, at lest.
