Tomorrow, I going to the dentist for the first time in six years.

May 17, 2006 13:35

Give or take a few months.

Needless to say, I'm terrified of what they may find. I can feel it in my gums this is not going to be pretty or feel good.

It is, in fact, going to be very ugly and feel signicantly horrible.

I hate the way he looks into the camera. He cares more about his makeover these days, I think.

Team McPhee! Team McPhee!!!!!!

Yes, I know, I know!!! I'm so not thrilled about that. He and his endless "Soul Patrol" Tourette's thing he has just irritates me.

What the...? Dude. American Idol sounds...yeah. I don't know. But that's a bit disturbing.

He doesn't actually have Tourette's. But he basically sings, then stands up there, and when the judges are done critiquing, he just yells "SoulPatrolSoulPatrolSoulPatrolSoulPatrolSoulPatrol!!!" over and over. Cause his fans are called the Soul Patrol, I guess. And he does that week after week after week.

I am part of the SOUL PATROL baby and I love the way Taylor has always stayed with his rhythmn of the heart of soul. He's never tried to change that; WHEREAS Ms. McPhee tries all the time to go "back in time" & she'd be alot better suited if she'd just be in the times now and used HER fabulous voice to it's limits of now. Her "over the rainbow" was the best and she didn't push anywhere near when she tries to hard. At least Mr. Hicks remains in the soul of each moment!

I'm just sayin....

I think that Randy was right about Kat the other night, she WANTS to be the showstopping diva, but that's not really where her strength lies. Her best performances have been on Over The Rainbow, that Black Horse and the Cherry Tree song, and Think, which she did in the semifinals and again last night, and she didn't overdo them. She doesn't need to make every song a big, grandiose SONG. She should just let the song do its work, and just show up and deliver a solid vocal, and she'd be golden.

Taylor's been very consistent, and aside from maybe when he did "Country Roads," hasn't really had a bad performance. It just seems to me that when he dials it back on the manic energy, he doesn't command the stage as well. If he could figure out a way to captivate the audience without instilling in them the fear that any second he was about to charge at them headfirst like a Pamplona bull, he'd be set as well.
