A few weeks ago, I started watching a little show that a friend recommended, called Party Down.  Before the end of the first episode, I knew this show was special.  I quickly obtained copies of seasons 1 and 2 and devoured them within days.

So... why didn't you guys tell me about Band of Brothers? I mean seriously, I count on you to let me know what I should be watching.  I discovered Burn Notice because of thepouncer , Being Human because of kuzibah , and I can't even begin to list the shows that wwolfe has turned me onto.  So you'll have to forgive me if I'm having trouble understanding this oversight.

I watched the first episode of Torchwood's Children of Earth last night.  Aiyayiiiiiiiiiii!  It was intense.  I've heard great things about it (nothing spoilery) but I vaguely heard that Kuzibah had some issues with it.  I hear it's exciting, gamechanging, and mindblowing.  And that they've possibly painted themselves into a corner with this series ( Read more... )

I've just realized why I'm not completely on board and in love with the show: Where's the funny? There are no quotable lines, the dialogue is forgettable, and the characters aren't endearing. So while the concept is interesting and the plot thickens, I don't care enough about the people for it pull at my heartstrings, the way Joss Whedon's shows ( Read more... )
