Ffamran mingled beside Giselle, his nerves were fraying even more, if something bad was going to happen, they were rapidly drawing towards it. He kept his eye on the Admiral, on Brook, on Edgeworth and generally over the field waiting for -- the explosion.

He hadn't seen Kurt yet, who he knew was going to have to take responsibility for Giselle if something went wrong. He was trying not to be too tense, for Giselle, if not for himself.

Sho slide through the crowd of minglers, searching out people from his ship to talk to. This was a perfect oppertunity to scope out the mess that he was going to have to work with, even though his last first impressions hadn't gone so well.

He spotted Ffamran, and slid up next to him, but not TOO close.

He learned his lesson after Winry.

"Hmmmm. You're Bunansa's son, arn't you?" He didn't bother with any plesent openings. He knew the name Bunansa from his 'father', a name to be reconized. Once he had heard that his brat son was onboard he made a note to check him out. Even got a discription from around the ship.

Stalker tendencies? Never!

Ffamran was a little taken aback by the entrance of -- whoever that was. He didn't recognize the gentleman who had come up beside him; young, attractive in an odd sort of way and apparently knew Ffamran.

"I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage." Ffamran smiled, there were several people who would know him like that as 'Bunansa's son' and his look and certainly his dress would only aid in drawing that conclusion.

"But, yes, Ffamran Mid Bunansa."

Sho chuckled, showing a flash of teeth against his tan skin.

"Sho Minamimoto. Your new Boatswain." Like Fran, he didn't really notice Ffamran's attractivness, though the overdressing caught his attention. So much pomp and glam! He could be an intresting variable...

Things actually seemed to be doing okay. Sure things were still a little awkward, but no fights had broken out, the tension seemed a little slighter--dinner had gone on relatively well and soon everything would be wrapped up. Hopefully things would stay as they were, it'd be awful for them to have made it this far only for things to go to moot at the last second ( ... )

Having abandoned the girls with whom he'd attended the ball itself, since they weren't allowed in the banquet hall anyway and he'd gotten bored with them before the evening was through (too focused on a) the food or b) the worthless trash littering the sides), Agon was out for some company now that the banquet was winding down ( ... )

Winry had finished up her meal. She hadn't had much, really, she had made sure to have a good meal before coming here for several reasons she'd rather not ponder for optimism's sake. The blonde sighed, eyes once again examining the room when something caught her interest. Ffamran and Sho, the boy she'd recently met, were not too far away and seemed engrossed in conversation. She wondered if Ffamran knew him well...Winry figured she really shouldn't care, but after having had enough time to calm down after their weird conversation she couldn't help but be curious about a bunch of things he had said ( ... )

Well, that had been fun. Only not. Hiei had shown up, and despite his usually charming attitude, the lack of booze had put him off. He excused himself from their company to eat, and now that he was done, he was bored again. There was no fun in sitting at these alone. He glanced around and spotted Rockbell off to the side. Oh, there we go.

He wasn't completely comfortable around her. Several things surrounding the incident where his other half got out were still pretty vague, and he wasn't sure how much she really knew. It was a case of walking on egg shells.

But, she was good company, and right now, that's what he wanted. He strolled over to her and saw the oaf trip over her with wine. He twitched his mouth into a frown and approached the table. "Hey, Rockbell, mind if I sit?"

He glanced at Agon in an unimpressed way. Fucking military bastards.

After his conversation with Nunnally, Heihachi had expected a bit more out of the rest of the political dignitaries at the ball, but despite his keen attempts to engage others on the topic of the peace talks he’d encountered a surprising amount of resistance.

People were being very careful about their wording, twisting their opinions to be so inoffensive that they really said nothing at all and speaking in circles that were starting to test even his patience. It said something that he’d had a much more welcoming conversation with one of the university students that had snuck in to steal from the buffet table than with any of the stuffed shirts who were supposed to be smoothing over the relations between Vohemar and Ivona ( ... )

Looking quite sure about this gathering at the dinner table, especially considering it would be highly awkward to dine with the supposed enemy even if this was a peaceful ceremony. Kiros noticed a few familiar faces preparing themselves as they sat along with fellow crew mates and such, the mechanic looked rather apprehensive to sit at first, wondering silently if perhaps the food could be tainted or such. His constant worries continued to plague him even after finally simply accept things as they where and finally urged himself to relax.

"I suppose this isn't so bad..." Kiros mumbled to himself, feeling rather out of place in this sort of setting and with all these different people. He honestly did not like it here, not one bit and if he could just return to the Victoria and sleep; he would. Yet, as Lt. Hijikata reminded him days earlier; obligation over opinions, Kiros knew he should not let his opinions on the matter hinder him from just simply doing his job even if his presence here is in support of his fellow crew mates.

Hijikata had pretty much been hanging around a corner again after that whole incident with his cousin and the brat that was with him. Honestly, just why was it that he had to get himself involved in these sort of messes? Toshirou snorted through the puff of smoke coming from his nearly finished cigarette, currently now being outside once more for a well-needed smoke after all that drama llama. Children and women - he never really could understand them. Subtlety was something hardly associated with a person like Hijikata Toshirou ( ... )

Oh, great....

As if this night couldn't get any damn worse!

It took all of Kiros' willpower not to get right up and flee from the usually angry boatswain, fleeing out of this ridiculous banquet and as faaaar away from the Victoria as possible. He could easily tell the lieutenant was still quite cross with him from events prior to this peace conference and to be honest; Kiros didn't want to cross words with Hijikata right now. Bad enough that half of the world now knew how disorganized and rowdy the crew of the Victoria was and it was all his fault! The mechanic tried not to sigh again at the thought of the other lieutenant involved, Lt. Richard Gumshoe ( ... )

Enjoying would be the biggest oxymoron as of the current situation he was faced with now. Suffering would have been more suitable with what was happening, or maybe torture even. But it was pretty clear at any rate that the boatswain was hardly enjoying himself in this event ( ... )

She'd forgotten about the ball, party, thing. Well, that and she hadn't woken up until an hour or so beforehand. Finding the ship empty was unusua; enough that it had sent her into high gear (hangover or no). After all, a party meant free food. And possibly free booze. Who was Anko to turn that down?

The one nice dress she had was found and hastily thrown on, under her coat, of course, and she found the University with minimal trouble.

The "mingle" bit seemed to be over as she slipped into the hall. She grinned as she saw the food laid out before her. This was the part that was really important. She made a beeline for the nearest empty chair she saw.
