Looking quite sure about this gathering at the dinner table, especially considering it would be highly awkward to dine with the supposed enemy even if this was a peaceful ceremony. Kiros noticed a few familiar faces preparing themselves as they sat along with fellow crew mates and such, the mechanic looked rather apprehensive to sit at first, wondering silently if perhaps the food could be tainted or such. His constant worries continued to plague him even after finally simply accept things as they where and finally urged himself to relax.

"I suppose this isn't so bad..." Kiros mumbled to himself, feeling rather out of place in this sort of setting and with all these different people. He honestly did not like it here, not one bit and if he could just return to the Victoria and sleep; he would. Yet, as Lt. Hijikata reminded him days earlier; obligation over opinions, Kiros knew he should not let his opinions on the matter hinder him from just simply doing his job even if his presence here is in support of his fellow crew mates.

Hijikata had pretty much been hanging around a corner again after that whole incident with his cousin and the brat that was with him. Honestly, just why was it that he had to get himself involved in these sort of messes? Toshirou snorted through the puff of smoke coming from his nearly finished cigarette, currently now being outside once more for a well-needed smoke after all that drama llama. Children and women - he never really could understand them. Subtlety was something hardly associated with a person like Hijikata Toshirou ( ... )

Oh, great....

As if this night couldn't get any damn worse!

It took all of Kiros' willpower not to get right up and flee from the usually angry boatswain, fleeing out of this ridiculous banquet and as faaaar away from the Victoria as possible. He could easily tell the lieutenant was still quite cross with him from events prior to this peace conference and to be honest; Kiros didn't want to cross words with Hijikata right now. Bad enough that half of the world now knew how disorganized and rowdy the crew of the Victoria was and it was all his fault! The mechanic tried not to sigh again at the thought of the other lieutenant involved, Lt. Richard Gumshoe ( ... )

Enjoying would be the biggest oxymoron as of the current situation he was faced with now. Suffering would have been more suitable with what was happening, or maybe torture even. But it was pretty clear at any rate that the boatswain was hardly enjoying himself in this event ( ... )

"Because its uneventful and meaningless?" Kiros droned out taking a chance to glance over at his superior with a questioning gaze. At first, the mechanic was pretty excited about the notion of a peace conference here in Kropmork ( ... )

Hijikata only grunted in response to agreement with what the mechanic had said, arms still folded arosss his chest as the boatswain leaned back on his chair still, eyes closed and a deep frown still on his features. Kropmork was well-known to him, even if he had never stepped into this place before - loads of the bandits he had killed in Solare were more often than not estrangers from Kropmork. Bandits that were after his life almost daily back then, before he found some peace in the dojo.

There was another grunt as the boatswain massaged his temples a bit wearily, clearly frustrated by this. "Tch. No comment about that." He certainly wasn't going to mention about Toshizou and the 4423. There was already enough worry and annoyance on his mind as there already was - and he certainly didn't need to go on and add onto all that mental stress.

"...I suppose," he replied after a long while to the mechanic's last comment. He for one was rather glad to be able to get away from this cesspool after all of this bullshit was over and done with.
